A disturbing video showing a Nigerian lawyer allegedly assaulting his wife in front of their children has sparked public outrage across social media.
The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA) has vowed to take immediate action after reviewing the footage, dated October 27, 2024. The video captures a heated altercation where the man, reported to be a lawyer and senior manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), is seen yelling, throwing objects, and threatening to strike his wife with a flower vase over suspicions of infidelity.
In the video, he can be heard shouting, “I showed you the message and told you there was nothing between us! Are you unfortunate? I am warning you!” He continued, “If you don’t call anyone, you are a bastard. Are you crazy? Do you want me to lose my job?”
Throughout the encounter, his wife tries to calm him, reminding him that their children are present. She responds, “Be careful. The children are here, watching everything. Don’t touch me. I’ll call my dad. Is this how you act because of your behavior?”
