Wike: Abuja Will Transform By The End of Tinubu's Tenure-OXYGIST

FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has assured Nigerians that the nation’s capital will witness a major facelift by the time President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's term concludes in 2027. He emphasized that, under the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, all Area Councils within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) would benefit from significant infrastructure upgrades.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony for the development of the War College/Army Checkpoint and nearby roads in Ushafa, Bwari Area Council, Wike highlighted his dedication to bridging the infrastructure gaps within Abuja. He projected that, by the end of Tinubu’s tenure, Abuja's infrastructure would undergo a remarkable transformation.

“As far as infrastructure goes, by 2027, Abuja will be entirely different,” Wike assured. “Every Area Council will receive the necessary attention. There’s no need for concern—the Renewed Hope Agenda is in action. The promises made are promises kept.”

In his remarks, Wike also urged citizens to hold the government accountable for tax expenditures, affirming, “When you pay taxes, you have every right to demand accountability. You can ask, ‘Where is my money going?’ and no one will penalize you for that.”
