A shocking incident unfolded near Moscow, where a 15-year-old boy confessed to brutally killing his mother after she took away his tablet to encourage him to focus on his homework. The teen, whose identity remains undisclosed, reportedly attacked his 48-year-old mother, Alexandra Gabbasova, in her bedroom with an axe, authorities revealed.
Gabbasova, an accountant at a local furniture factory, had expressed growing concern over her son’s habit of spending up to 12 hours a day on online games, particularly Minecraft, often at the expense of his school responsibilities. Frustrated with his academic neglect, she confiscated his devices, hoping it would prompt him to focus on his studies.
Reports suggest that, enraged by the restriction, the teen struck his mother multiple times on the head, even going so far as to barricade her bedroom afterward. Shockingly, he then walked to a nearby shop in the village of Krasnaya Storozhka to buy chocolate before ultimately reporting himself to authorities in Sergiev Posad, a town about 46 miles from Moscow. When questioned, he described his actions in chilling detail, revealing he used online searches to locate the nearest police station after the incident.
Local media outlets reported that teachers had previously regarded the boy as a “quiet” student who showed no signs of behavioral issues. Currently, he is being held in custody as investigations continue.
