Super Eagles star Nathan Tella has commended Bayern Munich head coach Vincent Kompany for his impressive start with the German champions. Tella, who currently plays for Bayer 04 Leverkusen, praised Kompany’s efforts despite Bayern’s recent DFB Pokal elimination.


Kompany took charge at Bayern Munich after his stint with Burnley, where he experienced relegation from the Premier League. Stepping into Thomas Tuchel’s shoes, Kompany has revitalized Bayern, propelling them to the top of the Bundesliga table—a marked improvement from last season when Xabi Alonso’s Leverkusen led the standings at the same stage.


Tella played a pivotal role in Leverkusen’s recent 1-0 victory over Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena in the DFB Pokal. Coming off the bench, the Nigerian international netted the decisive goal, heading home a precise cross from Alejandro Grimaldo.
