The president’s journey began last Wednesday with an official visit to France at the invitation of President Emmanuel Macron. This meeting sought to deepen collaboration between Nigeria and France in vital sectors, including agriculture, security, education, healthcare, youth empowerment, job creation, innovation, and energy transition.
Following three days of discussions in France, President Tinubu traveled to South Africa on Monday, where he co-chaired the 11th Nigeria-South Africa Bi-National Commission alongside President Cyril Ramaphosa.
During the commission’s proceedings in Cape Town, President Tinubu highlighted the importance of strengthening the partnership between the two nations. He commended South African businesses, including MTN and MultiChoice, for their contributions to Nigeria’s economy. Similarly, he celebrated the successes of Nigerian enterprises such as the Dangote Group and Access Bank in the South African market.
