Adebutu Mourns Passing of Business Socialite, Alhaja Adebisi Edionseri

 Former governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogun State, Hon. Ladi Adebutu, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of renowned businesswoman and socialite, Alhaja Adebisi Edionseri, fondly known as “Cash Madam.”

Alhaja Edionseri passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving behind a remarkable legacy as a trailblazer in business, philanthropy, and community development.

In a statement signed by the Director of Media and Publicity for the Ladi Adebutu Development Organisation, Afolabi Orekoya, Adebutu described Cash Madam as an icon of resilience, entrepreneurial excellence, and unwavering dedication to her community.

The statement reads:" It is with profound sadness that we received the news of the passing of the iconic businesswoman and socialite, Alhaja Adebisi Edionseri, fondly called “Cash Madam” which occurred on Sunday, 5th January, 2025 at the age of 89.

"A trailblazer in the business world, Cash Madam was an embodiment of resilience, entrepreneurial acumen and unwavering commitment to uplifting her community. Her presence graced every corner of her ventures, leaving an indelible mark on countless lives.

"As a philanthropist and community leader, Cash Madam was deeply committed to empowering the less privileged, fostering unity, and advocating for economic growth. Her contributions to commerce and social development will forever remain an inspiration to all who knew her.

"On behalf of Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu, we extend our deepest condolences to the Edionseri family, her friends, associates and all those whose lives she touched in all ramifications.

"During this time of grief, we stand united in celebrating the impactful life she lived and the legacy she has left behind. May the Almighty grant her eternal rest and console all those she has left behind.
