Hadi Sani Seeks Harmonious Operations Among Ogun Transport Unions, Arewa Community

The Senior Special Assistant to the Ogun State Governor on Inter-Ethnic Affairs, Hadi Sani, has emphasized the government’s dedication to fostering peace and cooperation among stakeholders in the transport sector. 

This assurance was made during a strategic meeting held at the Riders and Owners of Motorcycles Organization (ROMO) in Abeokuta on Tuesday.

The meeting, which brought together the chairmen of Ogun State’s three major motorcycle unions and representatives of the Arewa Community, focused on establishing inclusive modalities for harmonious operations in the transport sector.

In attendance were Comrade Kayode Showunmi, Chairman of ACOMORAN; Otunba Taofeek Sokoya, Chairman of AMORAN; and Alhaji Sotayo Olusola Solebo, Chairman of ROMO. Representing the Arewa Community was Alhaji Lawali, Chairman of the Arewa Okada Riders.

Hadi Sani, speaking on behalf of His Excellency Governor Dapo Abiodun, commended the stakeholders for their commitment to peaceful coexistence. 
“The Ogun State Government is dedicated to creating an enabling environment where all stakeholders, regardless of ethnic or professional affiliation, can thrive. Today’s engagement is a testament to our collective desire to ensure security, harmony, and seamless operations within the transport sector,” he said.

He  assured the Union leaders of the cooperation and support of the Arewa Community towards achieving a peaceful and inclusive operational framework. 

“The safety and security of our society are our shared responsibilities. Together, we can build a transport system that is efficient, secure, and beneficial to all,” he said.
