Hollywood stars Jennifer Lopez, 55, and Ben Affleck, 52, have officially settled their divorce, five months after announcing their split. According to DailyMail, the couple, who tied the knot in 2022, will formally end their marriage on February 20, each retaining the assets they individually acquired during their brief union.
The settlement includes their $61 million Beverly Hills mansion, although specific terms remain undisclosed. Despite marrying without a prenuptial agreement, the division of their cumulative $550 million wealth—largely comprising Lopez's $400 million fortune—has reportedly been amicable.
The couple first wed at the Little White Chapel in Las Vegas on July 16, 2022, before hosting a larger ceremony at Affleck’s Georgia estate a month later. However, Lopez filed for divorce on the second anniversary of their Georgia wedding, listing their separation date as April 26, 2024.
As part of the settlement, Lopez will relinquish the last name Affleck, reverting to Jennifer Lynn Lopez. Affleck will retain his stake in Artists Equity, the production company he co-founded with Matt Damon in 2022, known for films such as Air and Unstoppable. Meanwhile, Lopez focused on projects like Shotgun Wedding and The Mother during their marriage.
Despite the divorce, the former couple has shown commitment to maintaining a friendly relationship. Lopez was recently spotted visiting Affleck's home, even sharing a warm moment with his 12-year-old son, Samuel. The visit followed their reunion at Soho House in Los Angeles last month, where they exchanged gifts.
Sources close to the pair emphasize their mutual respect and intention to remain in each other’s lives, especially when it comes to their children. Lopez shares 16-year-old Emme with ex-husband Marc Anthony, while Affleck has three children—Violet, 19, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12—with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner.
