Juventus Reportedly Considering Xavi Hernandez Amid Thiago Motta’s Uncertain Future-OXYGIST

Serie A giants Juventus are reportedly eyeing former Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez as concerns grow over Thiago Motta's performance as head coach.

Despite Juventus' impressive 21-game unbeaten streak in the league, Motta's tenure has been marred by inconsistencies, with 13 of those matches ending in draws. Questions have been raised about his hyper-offensive tactics, which, although successful during his time at Bologna, have struggled to adapt to Juventus’ high expectations and varying match scenarios.

Motta, a former star player for Barcelona, Inter Milan, and PSG, built a reputation as a visionary defensive midfielder. However, his managerial career has yet to mirror the same level of success. Having taken over from Massimiliano Allegri in May 2024—just after Allegri guided Juventus to a Coppa Italia victory—Motta’s position is now under scrutiny as the club evaluates its future direction.

In light of this, Juventus are reportedly exploring the possibility of appointing Xavi Hernandez, a high-profile figure with the potential to reinvigorate the team. Xavi, who previously managed Barcelona, is known for his tactical acumen and ability to foster a dynamic, possession-based playing style.

While it remains unclear whether Juventus will take the bold step of replacing Motta, bringing in Xavi would represent a significant statement of intent for the club as they aim to reestablish themselves among Europe’s elite. The coming weeks will reveal whether this managerial shake-up becomes a reality.
