Renowned music producer Adegboyega Ikwue Ogunlesi, popularly known as Adey, has shared a troubling account of an encounter with police officers in Lagos. The producer alleged that the officers shot at him and accused him of attempting to harm them on the highway.
Taking to his X handle, Adey recounted the harrowing experience, claiming the officers forcefully grabbed his car’s steering wheel, nearly causing a major accident by steering the vehicle into a ditch.
He wrote, “Nigerian police shot at me today, claimed I tried to kill them, and almost totalled my car by grabbing the steering wheel and driving me into a ditch.”
