Napoli’s Sporting Director, Giovanni Manna, has clarified Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen’s position regarding his future, stating that the forward will remain at Galatasaray until the end of the season.
Osimhen, who joined Galatasaray on a season-long loan from Napoli last summer, had initially been linked with moves to top Premier League clubs like Chelsea and Arsenal. However, none of the offers met Napoli’s expectations, leading to the loan transfer to the reigning Turkish champions.
Since his arrival, Osimhen has become a pivotal figure for Galatasaray, delivering stellar performances. The Nigerian international has recorded 13 goals and five assists in just 16 appearances, solidifying his reputation as a standout player in the Turkish Super Lig.
His remarkable form has sparked ongoing transfer rumors, with Manchester United emerging as a potential suitor. Reports suggest the Red Devils are eyeing Osimhen as part of their squad overhaul under manager Ruben Amorim.
Despite the speculations, Osimhen has reaffirmed his commitment to Galatasaray for the remainder of the season. According to Manna, Osimhen expressed his happiness with the club and his dedication to fulfilling his promise to the team.
“I made a promise to Galatasaray. I am very happy here. The fans love me very much, and I cannot leave them. If the teams that made me an offer in May still want me, we will sit down and talk again,” Osimhen reportedly told Manna.
While interest in Osimhen continues to grow, any potential transfer will likely have to wait until next summer. By then, his market value could rise to around €80 million. For now, the Nigerian star remains focused on helping Galatasaray clinch their fourth consecutive Super Lig title.
