Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has addressed the buzz surrounding the absence of her ex-husband, Ademidu Ojo, at their daughter Priscilla Ojo’s wedding to Tanzanian singer Juma Jux.
Taking to Instagram on Monday, Iyabo clarified that the Ojo family had privately given their blessings and fulfilled all necessary rites for Priscilla’s marriage.
Despite Ademidu Ojo’s noticeable absence at the Nikkah ceremony, which took place last Friday in Tanzania, Iyabo reassured the public that the Ojo family had been fully involved behind the scenes.
She wrote:
"The Ojo family has received and accepted all necessary rights and has given full permission privately for their daughter’s hand in marriage. What you’ll witness now is the fulfillment of all duties and the celebration of love! We’ll be serving a full-course meal, complete with dessert and extras – because we do things our own special way! Sit back, relax, and enjoy this beautiful and memorable journey with us!"
Priscilla’s wedding sparked discussions online, with some accusing her of excluding her father from the preparations, especially given his absence in her upbringing following his split from Iyabo Ojo.
In response, Priscilla shared a screenshot of a video call with her father via Snapchat on Sunday evening, subtly dismissing the rumors.
