Security operatives in Katsina State have arrested a 70-year-old man, identified as Malam Danlami, for allegedly assisting kidnappers in the state.
Danlami was apprehended by Community Watch operatives in Dutsinma Local Government Area following intelligence reports linking him to criminal activities.
According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, the suspect, who hails from Turare village, confessed to aiding the kidnapping of five women in collaboration with a notorious bandit, Alhaji Kudi.
Reports indicate that Danlami led the bandits to the victims’ homes, enabling their abduction and subsequent transportation to a forest hideout.
Security forces have vowed to intensify efforts to dismantle criminal networks and ensure justice is served.
