Gov. Sanwo-Olu Appoints Oladipupo Oluwaloni as Acting Chairman of Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA-OXYGIST

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has approved the appointment of Oladipupo Oluwaloni as the Acting Chairman of Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area (LCDA), following the prolonged absence of the substantive chairman, Bolatito Shobowale.

Shobowale has been away from office for over six months due to medical reasons, and despite efforts by experts to facilitate her return, governance in the council has reportedly been hindered.

Governor Sanwo-Olu’s decision was also aimed at preventing a looming financial crisis, as the absence of the chairman had delayed the presentation of the 2025 budget before the council lawmakers, a requirement stipulated by law.

The leadership transition was facilitated by the Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), under the guidance of its chairman, Cornelius Ojelabi. The move is expected to restore administrative stability and ensure effective governance at the grassroots level.

In his reaction to the appointment, Oluwaloni expressed deep gratitude to Governor Sanwo-Olu and the party leadership for their trust and support. He pledged to serve diligently, prioritizing the welfare of Ayobo-Ipaja residents while ensuring continuity in governance.
