Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has addressed the swirling controversy regarding his past statements about the name "Elizabeth Joyce" on his Instagram page.
Earlier, during an interview with popular content creator Kuye Adegoke, aka Egungun, Portable had seemingly implied that the Instagram name was linked to a Facebook account he once used for online fraud, commonly known as "Yahoo Yahoo." The claim quickly went viral, sparking intense reactions from the public.
However, in a newly released video, the Zeh Nation boss denied ever being involved in fraudulent activities, insisting that his words were taken out of context. Speaking directly to his fans, he emphasized that he does not steal or engage in illegal dealings.
"I don’t steal, I am not a thief, and I’ve never done Yahoo. When I said ‘working account,’ I meant an account I used to find money to feed myself legitimately," Portable clarified.
He also accused Egungun of misrepresenting his words, claiming that the interview had been twisted to paint him in a negative light.
The controversial artist reaffirmed that his success came through hard work and talent, stating that he remains focused on making money rather than being entangled in controversy.
