58 Inmates Sit for 2025 NECO Exams in Kano-OXYGIST

In a powerful move toward rehabilitation and second chances, 58 inmates in Kano are currently writing the 2025 NECO Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) a shining example of transformation behind bars.

The announcement was made on Sunday, July 6, by the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), Kano State Command, through its Public Relations Officer, Musbahu Kofar-Nasarawa.

According to the statement, this educational breakthrough was made possible thanks to the Kano State Government, which fully sponsored the registration fees under the leadership of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

“This gesture speaks volumes about the government’s dedication to the welfare, reformation, and reintegration of inmates,” Kofar-Nasarawa said.

The initiative, according to the Command, not only boosts the inmates’ morale but also empowers them with the opportunity to reshape their future through education.

“The NCoS Kano Command is deeply grateful to His Excellency, Governor Abba Yusuf, for this impactful support,” the statement continued.
“We remain committed to creating a rehabilitative and reformative atmosphere where inmates can truly turn their lives around.”

This inspiring development is a reminder that education remains a powerful tool for change, even behind prison walls.
