Anambra Student Tops 2025 JAMB UTME With Outstanding Score of 375-OXYGIST

Meet Nigeria’s brightest brain of 2025 Okeke Chinedu Christian from Anambra State has emerged as the highest scorer in this year’s Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).


Chinedu clinched the top spot with an incredible 375 out of 400, a performance that has captured national attention and sparked admiration across the country.


The announcement was made by JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, during the 2025 Policy Meeting held in Abuja on Tuesday, July 8.


Chinedu, who listed the University of Lagos (UNILAG) as his first choice, hopes to study Mechanical Engineering, proving that brilliance and ambition go hand in hand.


Coming in second is Ayuba Simon-Peter John from Gombe State, who scored 374. He has his sights set on Afe Babalola University (ABUAD), also aiming to pursue Mechanical Engineering.


In third place is Jimoh Abdulmalik Olayinka from Kwara State with a strong score of 373, and like Chinedu, he chose UNILAG and the same course Mechanical Engineering.


These impressive scores reflect the rising academic excellence among Nigerian youths and highlight the determination of students across states, backgrounds, and institutions.


As thousands of students await their admission letters, these top scorers have already set the tone for a brilliant academic journey ahead.
