The world of football is still mourning the heartbreaking death of Portuguese star Diogo Jota, who tragically lost his life in a car crash alongside his younger brother, André, in Spain. But while the emotional toll is heavy, reports have revealed that his widow, Rute, and their three children will be financially secure thanks to the legacy he built on and off the pitch.
At just 28, the Liverpool forward had amassed an impressive fortune, with career earnings estimated at £34.4 million. His journey to success began in 2018 when he signed with Wolverhampton Wanderers, earning £38,000 a week. Over two years, that brought in nearly £4 million.
His big break came in 2020 with a move to Liverpool FC, where he initially earned £83,000 a week, adding another £8.6 million to his wealth.
