A member of the Ogun State House of Assembly , representing Abeokuta South state constituency, Hon Yusuf Adejojo has debunked report that he has no single project in his constituency.
Adejojo described the report as lie, untrue and an attempt by his foes to destroy his reputation.
The lawmaker in a signed statement and made available to newsmen in Abeokuta, challenged his opposition to visit his constituency and see for themselves, projects he has facilitated.
He listed some of his projects, to include: procurement of medical equipment for General Hospital, Ijaiye, Abeokuta, reconstruction of Ita-Oluwo bridge, Itoko, distribution of hand washing machines, provision of water borehole, cash donation for rehabilitation of pipe borne water, free school bus scheme, construction of deep well and loan scheme for women, among others.
The lawmaker, however, revealed that he carried out all the projects without the statutory constituency fund.
His words: " Report that I didn't do any project in my constituency is indeed a lie, untrue and it is an attempt to destroy my reputation. For thorough investigation, let them visit my constituency and see for themselves. I facilitated so many projects, records are there. If some constituents can say that it means they are not conversant with happenings in the area.
Adejojo therefore assured that he would remain focus and not be distracted by his opponents who were just seeking attention, insisting that development of his constituency is what is Paramount to him.
" I will not be distracted by those ' tricks and lies. I remain focused for the development of my people and my constituency.
Earlier, a federal High Court sitting in Abeokuta, has upheld the victory of Honourable Oluwatobi Taiwo Doregoes, as the winner of the All Progressive Congress (APC) primary election in the constituency which Adejojo his contesting.
Justice O Oguntoyinbo notified the prayer of Adejojo, saying it has no locus standing and without any iota of fact and evidence to back his claims.
Reacting, the Counsel to Adejojo, Ajibola Kaka said that the legal team and his client would study the judgement in order to know the next line of action.
He explained that they would look at the merit of the judgement for further action.
