The Amalgamated Commercial Motorcycle, Tricycle Owners, Riders, Repairers Association of Nigeria ACOMORAN in Ogun State has praised the Governor of Ogun State Prince Dapo Abiodun for the Electric Mobility Bike initiative.
The state chairman of ACOMORAN Kayode Showunmi while distributing E-mobility Bike to his members on Friday in Abeokuta praised Governor Dapo Abiodun for his efforts to enhance transportation in the state, particularly during fuel price hikes and scarcity.
Showunmi noted that the electric bikes will reduce pressure on filling stations and urged beneficiaries to use the opportunity judiciously.
He also commended the Governor for making the initiative affordable, with battery swapping available for N1250.
"I would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to His Excellency, the Governor of Ogun State, Prince (Dr.) Dapo Abiodun CON.
" Your unwavering dedication to addressing the needs and yearnings of the transportation unions and the general public has been truly commendable.
"Your visionary leadership and proactive measures have provided us with sustainable solutions that will undoubtedly improve the quality of life for our people. We are immensely grateful for your support and dedication.
"I would also like to express our sincere gratitude to our amiable, indispensable, indefatigable leader Prince (Amb.) Samsudeen Adebayo Apelogun, the National President of ACOMORAN. Your immense support and cordial relationship with the state government, and of course the Executive Governor Prince (Dr.) Dapo Abiodun CON have been pivotal in enhancing the E-bike initiative. Your leadership and commitment to the welfare of our members have been instrumental in making this project a reality."
Meanwhile, the Commissioner for transportation in Ogun State Engineer Gbenga Dairo represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Transportation, Adesoji Adewuyi, thanked Governor for making life easier for citizens, especially motorcyclists.
Dairo added that the electric bike is less affordable saying that swapping the battery is just for 1250 naira.
"These electric bikes is more or less affordable , swapping the battery is just for 1250 naira. They can only swap twice in a day .
"We are thanking Governor Abiodun for this initiative that he actually brought to Ogun State, and I know that many more will be coming from his side."
One of the beneficiaries Olatunji OlaJuwon expressed excitement and gratitude for the program, describing it as a significant step in easing transportation problems in Ogun State.
