New Fulham signing Emile Smith Rowe has dedicated his first goal for the club to Nigerian teammates Calvin Bassey and Alex Iwobi.
The 23-year-old attacking midfielder joined Fulham from Arsenal for a club-record fee of £34 million, signing a five-year deal with Marco Silva's side.
In a pre-season friendly against Chidera Ejuke’s Sevilla at the Estádio Do Algarve, Smith Rowe made an immediate impact. Coming on for the second half, he scored in the 52nd minute, reducing the deficit after Isaac Romero's two first-half goals for Sevilla.

After the game, Smith Rowe's interview was playfully interrupted by Bassey and Iwobi. The England international expressed his gratitude towards them for helping him settle in at Fulham.
“These two, honestly, they’re jokers. I love my new teammates and I’ve settled in really well. I feel really comfortable. I dedicate my goal to you two because I think you welcomed me into the team,” Smith Rowe said, addressing Bassey and Iwobi.
