Nollywood actress and activist Iyabo Ojo has voiced her frustration with her millions of fans and followers, likening their support to the deceitful practices of the Nigerian government.
Taking to her Instagram page, the movie star, currently abroad, expressed her anger at the fake love shown by her fans. She accused them of deceiving her just like the Nigerian government does.
“Hello Nigeria, I have landed. First of all, I want to lash out at those of you showing me fake love. You deceive me like the Nigerian government. What did I do to you? If you truly love me, then go to YouTube and follow my channel, Iyabo Ojo TV. The link is in my bio,” she stated.
Recently, Iyabo Ojo made headlines with her message to the president concerning the #EndBadGovernance protests. She criticized the president for his silence, calling it deafening and disheartening. She urged him to address the nation, listen to their grievances, and offer hope. She questioned if democracy is still for the people when they can’t express their concerns and be heard.
Last month, Iyabo Ojo was honored with a Leadership Award by the Eko Heritage Awards. Sharing her excitement on Instagram, she expressed gratitude to the award organizers for recognizing her efforts in youth and empowerment.
