South Africans Ignite Controversy by Booking Bolt Rides in Lagos, Sparking Fierce Retaliation from Nigerians-OXYGIST

A provocative trend has recently taken hold on social media, where South African users have been booking Bolt rides in Lagos from their home country, much to the frustration of Nigerian drivers.

The drama unfolded on X (formerly Twitter), as South African users began sharing videos of themselves booking Bolt rides in Nigeria, despite being physically located in South Africa. The aim? To waste Nigerian drivers’ time and resources by sending them on wild goose chases across Lagos.

One viral video showed a South African user booking a ride from Ozumba Mbadiwe to the Nigerian Law School in Lagos, all while comfortably seated in their South African home. This bold move quickly sparked outrage among Nigerians.

In response, Nigerian users fought back by booking rides in South Africa, creating a surge in demand in cities like Cape Town and Johannesburg. This retaliation left many South Africans stranded, facing unavailable or exorbitantly priced rides.
