Bobrisky Spent Only 3 Weeks in Kirikiri Prison, Moved to Private Apartment – Insider Claims-OXYGIST

A new report has surfaced, revealing that Nigerian cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, allegedly served just three weeks in Kirikiri Prison before being moved to a private location. This revelation has raised concerns about the integrity of the Nigerian Correctional Service.

Initially sentenced to six months in prison for naira abuse in April, Bobrisky’s shortened stay behind bars has sparked controversy. According to a source from Kirikiri Prison, the celebrity spent far less time in the facility than the court-ordered sentence.

The controversy began when social media influencer Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, released an audio recording in which Bobrisky allegedly admitted to serving most of his sentence outside the prison. In the recording, Bobrisky also claimed to have paid ₦15 million to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to drop money laundering charges against him.

A prison insider confirmed to FIJ that Bobrisky was transferred out of Kirikiri after just three weeks.

“(S)he was taken to a location we were not informed about,” the source said. “It was an arranged deal, and money was definitely involved.”

The source added that Bobrisky received VIP treatment throughout his time in Kirikiri, living in a special cell and being guarded “like a president.” While the cross-dresser was kept away from most other inmates, the insider recounted one incident where a prisoner was punished for videoing Bobrisky during a call. The inmate was reportedly locked up for nearly two months for violating Bobrisky's privacy.

“(S)he was heavily protected, and after three weeks, (s)he was quietly taken away,” the source concluded.
