Afrobeats star Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, known to fans as Ayra Starr, recently opened up about how her family and friends keep her balanced despite her rising fame. In an interview with Coco Jones for Rolling Stone’s Musicians on Musicians series, Ayra revealed that she still lives with her family whenever she’s back in Nigeria, embracing the lively atmosphere that comes with it.
“When I go back home [to Nigeria], I still live with my family. My brothers are always making noise, playing video games,” she shared with a smile.
Ayra also mentioned that she relies on her friends for fashion advice, often asking their opinions on her outfits through a group chat. “I still involve my friends in my life. We have a group chat where I ask for their thoughts on what I wear. I thank God for my friends and family. Sometimes, though, it can get overwhelming, and I need to take a break," she admitted.
