Super Eagles Star Olisah Ndah Set to Miss Football Until Next Year Due to Injury-OXYGIST

In a disappointing turn of events, Super Eagles and Orlando Pirates center-back Olisah Harold Ndah will be sidelined until next year after sustaining a serious injury. The 26-year-old defender suffered a tibia fracture while playing for the Pirates during a league match against Polokwane City last month, as reported by Soccernet.ng.

Ndah was substituted in the 84th minute of the match, which ended in a 3-0 victory for Orlando Pirates. Unfortunately, his injury meant he could not participate in the crucial MTN8 cup win against Stellenbosch FC. However, his teammates acknowledged Ndah's significant impact on the team’s performance.

As the Pirates prepare for their Carling Black Label Cup opener against newly promoted PSL side Magesi FC at Orlando Stadium this Saturday, the club has confirmed that Ndah will not be available. A statement from the club’s medical department revealed, “The 26-year-old has suffered a tibia fracture. Due to the nature and location of the injury, the decision regarding surgery is complex. Consequently, Ndah has been ruled out for the remainder of the year.”

Alongside Ndah’s setback, the medical team also provided updates on other players recovering from injuries. Despite being favorites for their upcoming match, the Pirates are facing a challenging situation with a total of nine players currently sidelined.

This injury to Ndah not only impacts the Pirates' defensive lineup but also raises concerns about their depth as they navigate the rest of the season.
