Tragic Discovery: 12 Bodies of Suspected Bandits Found in FCT Village-OXYGIST

In a startling incident, the lifeless bodies of 12 suspected bandits have been uncovered in Tokulo, a village within the Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Councillor Jerry Alkali, representing the Igu Ward, confirmed that the bodies remained at the scene on Tuesday morning, October 15, 2024.

Residents reported alarming gunfire in the area late Sunday night, with calls made to Alkali between 2 and 3 AM, expressing their fears and sleeplessness due to the chaos. “The tension was unbearable, and no one could rest. It wasn’t until morning that some villagers, on their way to their farms, discovered the bodies along a road leading to Pmape community in Kagarko LGA, Kaduna State,” he shared.

Another local, who chose to remain anonymous, noted that none of the deceased were from Tokulo. This raises concerns that these individuals may have been brought in or engaged in criminal activities before being killed, possibly by security forces.

Tokulo, notably the hometown of the current Bwari Area Council chairman, has faced repeated attacks by bandits, resulting in the deaths of both community members and security personnel in recent months.

An official from the FCT Special Anti-Kidnapping Unit confirmed the discovery but withheld further details about the circumstances surrounding the event.
