In a heart-wrenching discovery, the body of a newborn baby was found in a gutter along Umuwaya Road, opposite Abam Street, in Umuahia, Abia State, on the morning of November 7, 2024. The shocking incident has left the local community saddened and outraged.
Eyewitness Egwu Ifeanyi Anya, who shared the distressing sight on social media, expressed deep anger and disbelief.
“I was in Abia State for an important meeting and noticed a crowd along Umuwaya Road. After passing by several times, I stopped and was devastated by what I saw,” he wrote. “Whoever did this, life will bring you to answer for it.”
I was in Abia State this morning for a crucial engagement and had to drive around Umuahia. I noticed a crowd but didn't pick interest until I drove past the 4th time, and pulled over to see this.
