Abeokuta North LG Chairman Orders Immediate Removal of Illegal Structures at "Ori-Omi"

The Executive Chairman, Abeokuta North Local Government Dr. Lanre Oyegbola-Sodipo has  advised all occupants/users that erected kiosk/Shop/structure on Abeokuta North Local Government landed property at Oba Adisa Odeleye Memorial Park popularly known as "Ori-Omi" in Sokori Abeokuta Ogun State to in earnest remove the structures on or before Thursday 20th February, 2025 or face forceful ejection.

This was disclosed in statement signed by the local government information officer Kola Sodeinde issued to newsmen on Tuesday.

The statement reads: "The Executive Chairman, Abeokuta North Local Government Akomoje, Dr. Oyegbola-Sodipo 'Lanre today Tuesday 18th of February, 2025 has passionately advised all occupants/users that erected kiosk/Shop/structure on Abeokuta North Local Government landed property at Oba Adisa Odeleye Memorial Park popularly known as "Ori-Omi" in Sokori Abeokuta Ogun State to in earnest remove the structures on or before Thursday 20th February, 2025 or face forceful ejection.

"He explained that the Local Government had issued several notices to the illegal occupants of Shop/Kiosk/structures in the area for over times.

“We will soon embark on removal of all the structures on the landed property; for the Local Government to perform statutory duties", Council Chairman narrated.

"Dr Oyegbola-Sodipo stated further that, Local Government's Lands must be managed properly for investment and development to take place in the Local Government Area. While re-urging the illegal occupants of Local Government Property to vacate the space before enforcement."
