The newly appointed Commissioner of Police (CP) for Lagos State, Olohundare Moshood Jimoh, has officially taken over as the 41st Commissioner of Police for the state command. He replaces CP Olanrewaju Ishola, who has been redeployed to Force Headquarters, Abuja.
Hailing from Ilorin, Kwara State, CP Jimoh holds a degree in Political Science from Ahmadu Bello University and joined the Nigeria Police Force in 2000 as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP).

His expertise has earned him several accolades, including the Presidential Award for Public Relations Personality of the Year, recognizing his contribution to public relations within the police force. He was also part of the African Union Peacekeeping Mission in Darfur, Sudan, where he received a Commendation Award for Service.
As he assumes office, CP Jimoh has pledged to maintain law and order, foster community trust, and ensure the safety of Lagos residents. The Lagos State Police Command urges residents to support and cooperate with the new commissioner in his efforts to enhance security across the state.
