Nigerian street-hop sensation Portable is gearing up to release a new EP titled "Ogo Wanted," inspired by his recent legal battle with the Ogun State government.
The singer made headlines after being declared wanted by the police on multiple charges. He later surrendered at the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) before being transferred to the Ogun State Police Headquarters.
Portable was arraigned in court on charges including conspiracy, assault, and illegal possession of weapons. He pleaded not guilty and was granted ₦20 million bail. As part of his bail conditions, the court prohibited him from discussing the case on social media, with his trial set to resume on March 5.
Despite the controversy, Portable wasted no time in channeling his experience into music. He took to Instagram to tease his upcoming EP, boasting that his music earnings far exceed those of internet fraudsters, commonly known as "Yahoo boys."
In his post, he declared:
"OGO Wanted. Music money pass Yahoo. Zeh Nation, many inspiration."
With his signature boldness and raw storytelling, fans eagerly await Portable’s next musical offering, which promises to be a reflection of his unfiltered journey.
