President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has described the Ansar-ud-deen Society of Nigeria as a critical pillar of our national fabric, calling it a society with a noble Heritage of Faith, knowledge and service.
The President made this known at the 11th Triennial National Conference of the Ansar-ud-deen society of Nigeria, held at the Legacy hall of the Abeokuta Sports club.
According to the Nations helmsman, who was Represented by the Ogun State Deputy Governor, Engr Noimot Salako-Oyedele, the impact of the society had been visible across generations, particularly in its ability to nurture God fearing intellectually sound and socially responsible individuals.
While praising the enduring relationship that has existed between the Society and his forebears overtime, the President said it had constantly championed the cause of Islamic education and community development in Nigeria, from the establishment of schools and health centers to supporting the spiritual and social needs of its members.
President Tinubu stressed that Since assuming office, his administration has remained committed to building a more inclusive, secure and prosperous Nigeria, guided by the renewed hope agenda, noting that he was focused on reviving the economy, uplifting the poor and restoring confidence in public institutions.
He said these goals cannot be achieved without the support and partnerships of credible, value driven organizations such as the Ansar-ud-deen Society of Nigeria, urging them to remain steadfast in their noble pursuits while continuing to serve as a force for unity, progress and enlightenment for citizenry.
In his keynote address at the Prof Mustapha Olalekan Arikewuyo at the Event, informed that Muslims have the responsibility to ensure peaceful co-existence and mutual respect for Muslims and non Muslims alike, considering that we live in a pluralistic society, charging all present to to respect the rights and dignity of others irrespective of their background or faith.
He stated further that Muslims have a duty to establish civic engagement and enrichment, saying they can share their cultural heritage and traditions with others, while also learning and appreciating the culture diversity around them.
In his remarks, the JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, urged Ansarudeen members to tolerate themselves, be good ambassadors of the society, be unique in their dealings with people, show love to one another and embrace peace and harmony.
Earlier in his welcome remarks, the President Ansar-ud-deen Society of Nigeria (ADSN) Aare (Dr) Abdul-Rafiu Ademola Sanni, said the triennial conference serves as a platform to reflect on the society achievements, assess the challenges and strategies for the future, adding that their aim was to reinforce their commitment to educational advancement, moral empowerment to social justice and economic
Praayers were also said for the society, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Ogun State and the country at large.
