In his Democracy Day message, Amb. Ogunsola described the day as a celebration of the people’s collective will, the power of their voices, and the enduring journey toward building a more just and inclusive society.
“The labour of our heroes past shall not be in vain, rather, it should be remembered and celebrated on this occasion,” the Chairman stated.
He expressed hope that Nigeria’s democratic system will continue to flourish, with leaders being guided by truth and committed service. He also prayed for a future marked by peace, unity, and prosperity for all citizens.
Amb. Ogunsola made a special mention of the people of Obafemi Owode Local Government, urging them—and Nigerians at large—to take the opportunity of the celebration to reflect, take pride in the nation’s democratic journey, and renew hope for a brighter tomorrow.
“May our democracy continue to thrive, our leaders be led by truth and service, our nation prosper in unity and peace. Wishing every Nigerian, Obafemi Owode Local Government in particular, a day of reflection, pride and renewed hope for a brighter tomorrow.”
