As a concerned government and the Chief Security Officer of Obafemi Owode Local Government, Amb. Ogunsola Adesina Lanre, FCPA. today chaired the Emergency Security Meeting held in his office to address the security threat posed at ember months, particularly as the Christmas and New year celebrations fast approaching.
Council Boss commended the efforts of Security Agencies in the council area, particularly the Nigeria Police Force for the favourable security reports ..
He further highlighted some of the security challenges facing some of the areas in the local government, as the kidnappers have been tormenting people in Ogunmakin, Papalantoro, Interchange, Ajura axis of the council.
Subsequently, Amb. Ogunsola implored all the stakeholders at the meeting to take up security as a matter of concerns to all.
"Let me also charge our community leaders, Baales, religious leaders to involve women in your security meeting at your locality. Also, always endeavor you give adequate information once you notice any suspected movement of anyone within your area",said council boss.
Religious bodies have been urged to be cautious of holding night programs, especially at this yuletide season. This is part of the recommendation of the security meeting resolution.
Council boss further emphasized on the note of warnings given by His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, Governor, Ogun State at the council of Obas meeting held recently at the state, that some traditional rulers engaged in selling government land and anyone found guilty will be dealt with decisively.
He therefore charge the Divisional Police Officers to arrest anyone parading his or herself as Revenue Consultant of the council without necessary approval of government in the coming year 2024.And called on all peace loving people of the local government to calm and enjoy their Christmas and New Year without fair of molestation.
