The Adamawa State Police Command has detained a 30-year-old man, identified as Angwa Uku, for allegedly assaulting two young girls in Numan Local Government Area.
According to an official statement, authorities acted swiftly after receiving a report on October 28 detailing the suspected assault. The incident reportedly occurred the day prior when Uku allegedly approached the minors as they were walking home from school. He is accused of luring them into an abandoned building where the alleged assault took place.
The arrest followed a report from the children's parents, who became suspicious after noticing changes in the children’s behavior and movements. Police confirmed that the suspect will be formally charged once investigations are concluded.
